Duties/Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities:
(1) To control & evaluate the quality of produced Poultry vaccine (Safety test, Potency test, Efficacy test, Inactivation test, Pathogenicity test etc.).
(2) To prepare & check documentation related to QC operations. Perform all the research protocols for the development of new vaccine.
(3) Diagnoses and treat the healthy and sick birds. Care and management of lab animals.
(4) Vaccination and routine checkup of poultry test farm. Management and Treatment of chicken and duck at test farm to provide Sero-negative chicken and duck eggs, and cRBC and test serum.
Professional Achievement:
(1) Techniques for the isolation, characterization of different bacteria and Bacteriological tests (Sterility, Colony Forming Unit (CFU), Total Viable Count (TVC), biochemical tests, antimicrobial sensitivity test etc.).
(2) Isolation, identification and characterization techniques for viruses (NDV, IBDV, IBV, Fowl Pox, IBH, etc.).
(3) Different Serological tests (AGID, HA, HI, ELISA, Neutralization, EID50,
ELD50, LD50, PHA).
(4) Molecular techniques like extraction of viral/bacterial RNA and/or DNA, and Polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

Duties/Responsibilities
(1) Collection and analysis of field data on dairy and poultry farm management, FCR, Bio-security, disease history, medication, and antibiotic usages.
(2) Isolation, identification, and characterization of pathogenic bacteria by Gram’s staining, different biochemical tests (Catalase, Coagulase, Citrate utilization, Indole, Methyl Red, Voges-Proskauer, Oxidase, Urease, Motility, Sugar fermentation, Triple Sugar Iron agar etc.), and PCR analysis.
(3) Detection of antibiotic sensitivity and resistance pattern of isolated bacteria by Disk diffusion method.
(4) Determination of antimicrobial drug residues in livestock and poultry food products and feed by Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC).
